Donating
At the heart of our ecosystem and platform are, of course, the donations. The Charify platform/dApp, which can be accessed via our official website, lets you easily donate to a wide variety of different causes. The below simple steps detail how to get started with Charify and how to donate. It is important to note that we do not charge anything ourselves for any donations. Any administrative or transaction fees around donations come from MetaMask, the charities themselves or any other third parties. We are a non-profit organization and believe we should not make any profit from donations. 1. Navigating & Connecting to our Platform To get started, simply navigate to www.charifyeth.com and press 'Connect Wallet'. Follow the simple steps in MetaMask to succesfully connect to our platform. The reason why we specifically state this simply task, is because donators should be very careful and always verify the address of our website. Do NOT connect to any other website as your funds will be at risk. 2. Selecting a Charity To start your donation, click on any of the 'Donate' buttons on our website, which will bring you to our list of partenered charity organizations. From this list, click on 'See Details' to read more about a specific charity, or press 'Donate Now' to start donating immediately. 3. Donating To finalize your donation, simply fill the form on the right hand side of every charity page, or the form that pops op when you press 'Donate Now' directly from the list of charities. Fill in your name and address details, and the amount and currency you want to donate with. Once done, press 'Next' and simply transfer your donation amount to the given address, or use MetaMask by pressing 'Pay With MetaMask' to directly donate with MetaMask. Once this is done, you have succesfully donated through Charify! After you have donated, your name will show up on our leaderboards. This concept, which can provide exposure for you as an indivual or your project, is described in more detail in the next chapter.
